The Vehicross is an exceptional example of a rare JDM design with limited offering in North America. In 2001, there were only 1300 produced. It is also mentioned as one of the future classics by many auto blogs and multinational magazines. One of the most unique and individual vehicles ever made.
It is a great every day driver and also quite a machine if you have to tread through uncertain terrain. The Vehicross "Traction-on-demand" 4x4 (Borg Warner) was also reportedly a system that was mimicked by Subaru for their all-wheel drive system in future years.
3.5 L V6 engine that produces 250 bhp (160 kW; 218 PS) at 5400 rpm and 230 lb·ft (312 N·m) at 3000 rpm of torque.
Highly collectible: Designed by Shiro Nakamura, who also designed the GTR. One of the few vehicles to ship with monotube shocks with external heat-expansion chambers, a technology normally reserved for off-road motorcycle racing.
This vehicle is a "drivers" car and was very well taken care of. You will not find a cleaner example of this SUV ANYWHERE, no rust and looks great.
Only driven a few months a year on an ad-hoc basis.
Purchased from an American owner under two years ago. Was originally red in color (only 130 made), but was painted bright yellow in 2015.

* Upgraded 6ve1 engine (from 2003 Axiom) - The original 6VE1 engine in 2001 burnt oil. This version of the 6VE1 does not have oil burning problems as the previous 6VE1 did. Much cleaner running engine and more power, all around better engine. In the rare JDM SUV world, this engine is well known to be superior and is highly sought after.
* Recent paint (2015).
* Upgraded HID headlamps. 3 sets.
* Sound reduction acoustic foam in the body and doors.
* New General Grabber tires on larger aftermarket 17 inch TRD rims. 1 year usage. Same tires that the Dirt Every Day team stands by.
